My Journey Originally from Staten Island, New York. I was raised listening to the classic sounds of my mothers salsa music. After years of enjoying my Puerto Rican Heritage, I found music for myself. I was hypothesized by the gritty sounds of Hip Hop: Wu Tang Clan, Tribe Called Quest, Onyx and The Notorious BIG. I moved around the country for a few years, and found myself in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1999. After I graduated Del Norte High, I attended college as a collegiate athlete. I attended the University of New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands University on both Academic and Athletic scholarships. In 2008, I attended the NFL Combines, but life had different plans for my future.

 

That same year, I was introduced to the studio by my little brother Matt, better known as Skriptz. He was recording his first mixtape and wanted me to join him on a track. He knew that I had written music for years but never pursed the dream. I was hooked after my first verse. Due to sincerity of my lyrics in that first session, I was told. “you’re a real sincere dude…lyrics are honest and heartfelt.” Hence Syncere Collazo was born. December 2010, I released my first mixtape entitled “The Concept Vol. 1″. The mixtape received surprising support international.

 

My first project received 10,000 national and international downloads within a few months. 2011 gave birth to the sequel entitled, “The Concept Vol.2″. Again receiving 25,000 downloads worldwide. Now those might not sound like staggering number, but this was just little something I expected to hide in a closet and have my kids laugh at me about in 20 years. Glad I was wrong. June 2012, I was a featured new artist in the Summer Jam edition of XXL Magazine. January 2013, I was blessed with the front cover of UniQ Magazine and given a four page interview. 2014 has already been a blessing with recording studio demos with the legendary Mike Cee Carpenter. A seasoned veteran of the music industry, with a number of years producing for Capitol Records in LA. I am excited of whats to come.
